Is ALPENGARTEN EIGENTHAL a day spa or a wellness accommodation?
Both. You can use ALPENGARTEN EIGENTHAL for half days:
- from 2 pm to 5:30 pm (DaySPA) or
- from 7:30 pm to 11 pm (NightSPA)
- or as accommodation for stays up to 28 days
ALPENGARTEN EIGENTHAL appeals to a wide range of guests: Do you like:

How can I reach ALPENGARTEN EIGENTHAL?
The wellness retreat can be reached by:
- Private vehicle: motorway exit Lucerne South – Kriens – Eigenthal
- Public transport: train to Lucerne – post bus from Lucerne train station, various lines to Eigenthal; stop: Eigenthal Talboden.
Further information on the timetable can be found here: www.sbb.ch. The bus stop is just 200 m from the Wellness Retreat.
What do I need to take with me for the break?
It all depends on your program. For your wellness stay, we provide everything from towels and toiletries to body care products free of charge. The kitchenette is well-equipped, including spices, oils, etc.
Shopping facilities are located in Schwarzenberg or Kriens.
For your alpine explorations, we recommend good footwear, all-weather clothing, and sun protection depending on the season.
In summer you can
In winter the cross-country ski rental station is just 500 m from the Wellness Retreat.
What catering options are available?
If you stay at ALPENGARTEN EIGENTHAL, we'll serve you a delicious breakfast. You can choose from a varied selection of food and drinks every day.
Just 400 meters from the Wellness Retreat, the "Hammer" restaurant will spoil you with food and drinks. There are numerous other restaurants in the surrounding area. You can find information about them in our guide, which we will send you with your booking confirmation.
Can children also be taken along?
Our Welness Retreat is not recommended for children under 16. They might quickly become bored.
What is the maximum occupancy?
ALPENGARTEN EIGENTHAL - Private Wellness Retreat - is designed for 2 persons.
However, you can invite additional guests during the day (between 8 am and 10 pm). The maximum capacity is then 4 people. A surcharge of CHF 20 per person applies. This includes use of the facilities, beach towels and toiletries, as well as drinks and snacks.
If you wish, we will be happy to organize accommodation for your relatives or family members.
How do I check in?
Upon booking confirmation, you will receive a booking overview with extensive information about your stay in ALPENGARTEN EIGENTHAL
Your check-in takes place:
- For our accommodation guests or our DaySPA guests from 2 p.m.
- For our NightSPA guests from 6 p.m.
Please let us know your exact arrival time at least one day in advance. You will receive personalized information about your stay and explanations of the facilities upon check-in.
What happens if I can't go on the trip?
Please contact us as soon as possible so that we can make the wellness retreat available to other interested parties.
You may be responsible for a portion of the costs in the event of a cancellation, depending on your booking option. The conditions of your booking portal are binding in this regard.
Why is the entire complex fenced in?
Not because of nasty neighbors or thieves. They hardly ever find their way into Eigenthal anyway. But since we tend to seasonal flower arrangements and young plants in the garden, we have to protect ourselves from the deer that visit the wellness retreat almost daily. Otherwise, there won't be anything left the next day...
We always treat ourselves to wellness breaks. Alpengarten Eigenthal is our first choice in Switzerland: we always enjoy coming back.
